The BOB CAMPBELL junior development foundation is an initiative created by the Ferntree Gully Eagles Past Players & Officials Club, the Senior Football Club and the Junior Football Club

The mission of the BOB CAMPBELL junior development foundation is to provide a great Football and Social environment which will assist and secure all Ferntree Gully Eagles Junior Football Club players as they transition into the senior club and a continued personal support network for these players and their families

The future of any football club is to enhance and strengthen its relationship with junior players… The pathway to sustained growth of any football club is through the development and support of junior players to equip them with the skills and confidence required to play and enjoy senior football. Such an approach will secure our future and cement a pathway for these boys into our senior club.

 The purpose behind the foundation is to:

Offer assistance and support to our juniors especially our U16 group with their transition from junior club to our senior club – U18’s and beyond. Support will include Football mentoring, financial, physical and also moral support - to ensure that the club’s future is developed from within.

Providing and encouraging continued involvement in a sporting and social aspect.

Fostering a constant developmental approach as community leaders both in football skill development as well as personal and emotional growth.

We aim to;

Subsidise all transition players from under 17’s to under 19’s; players from other clubs to be considered on a case-by-case basis and to be decided ultimately by the General Committee following consideration and recommendation from the Foundation sub-committee)

Provide awards (eg: footys) to players in the under 17’s during the year and publicise the Two Blues Foundation Awards – to be known as the DAVE WATERS AWARD.

Provide awards (eg: medal) to players in the under 19’s during the year and publicise the Two Blues Foundation Awards – to be known as the BOB CAMPBELL AWARD.

Arrange for the under 17’s to train with the under 19’s on occasions throughout the under 16’s season

Look after less fortunate players by subsidising their membership … when they transition to the senior club

 Provide an award to the U19 group by presenting the MYLES MONK Most Promising Player Award. This award is presented at the senior Presentation night. This Award is proudly supported by the MELBOURNE F.C. and the recipient receives a letter of congratulations from the MFC.

We aim to achieve this through;

Memberships ( 200 Club & Social Memberships), Past Player day functions, sponsorship and donations.

The foundation is a sub-committee of the Senior Football Club. An operating budget will be set each year from funds raised.
